What you describe has worked for me in other programs, but since Pdad adopted Linux as our operating system (he is very committed to open source) our software options have become rather limited. Amelia and I just used the Open Office word processor for everything and I couldn't figure out any way to get a font larger than 96. There is a drop down box that includes 96 as the highest option and it doesn't seem to allow you to type a different number in that box as other programs do. Bummer.

Angela -- forgive me if this doesn't apply, but when my font size options are not working for me I select a size and in the little window I type another number over it... so if 73 is too small and 96 too big I make it 85 or 87 or 92, until I am happy with the result. This may only work in Publisher?
