If your 2 yr. old daughter peed all over you right after you had checked in for your son’s much needed, long awaited dermatology appointment, would you:
- a) Leave in haste, telephone to apologize, and ask for a new appointment
- b) Beg for a new appointment and then leave in haste.
- c) Put the 2 yr old in clean clothing. Return to the office carrying her in a strategic position to block the view of your wet clothing, apologizing to nurses and doctor.
- d) Put the 2 yr old in clean clothing. Return to the office carrying her in a strategic position to block the view of your wet clothing. Pretend that nothing has happened.
- e) Other — please elaborate.

I think I would go with c) or d) assuming I had clean clothes to put on the 2 yr old and how conspicuous the wet spot was. Which did you do?
How about e: pretend there is nothing wrong with either you or your 2 year old. If anyone asks about yours/hers looks/smell comment with a smile that this is baby pee.
I’m with Pdad (and I especially like writing his name in this context).
By the way, this may have happened to you today, but it also happened to a friend long ago. In fact, it has happened to many friends, long ago and recently.
Do you have clean clothes available nearby? Or are you going home for them? How far away from home is the doctor’s office?
Assume that you have clean clothes for the 2 yr old (but not yourself) in the car. Home is 10-15 minutes from the doctor’s office.
Oh, C. Definitely. No question. Maybe throw in a quick restroom trip to try to clean myself up as much as possible with paper towels. Because A is not an option and I just don’t believe B would work. And D? Well, that is NOT what S would/could do. But you knew that, didn’t you?
