New Year’s Observation

It is much easier to find a parking spot at the fitness center in March than in January.*

*I do not make this observation from the vantage of the smug self-righteous exerciser. My children could, but I can’t. On the other hand, do you think chasing Kate might count as an aerobic workout? How about weightlifting? Do I get credit for that?

I’ve read that house cleaning is included as aerobic exercise so I imagine that chasing Kate is included as well.

Motherhood is definitely a workout! I’ve often wondered how women get what is sometimes described as “Relief Society arms” (read: saggy triceps) when they spend so much time lifting and carrying!

It used to be that way around here… but then our gym bought out another and when I went this morning the parking lot was very full. I have heard that around noon it is pretty empty. But I never go that late, because if I haven’t been there by then it is too far into my day.

What do you do there? I like the weights best, probably because you move along and don’t have to keep at anything too long. And I hate cardio. I hate it. But I am trying to become a runner anyway. But only because then my cardio will be done faster. I do not love it… and If it made me fat I would not do it anyway.
