I am excited to announce my first contest! I am giving away a $20 giftcard to Amazon.

To win:

1. Make a comment on any of the posts on this blog–recent or ancient.  The comment must be related to the post.  (Comments such as “pick me” or “I want to win” are not eligible.)

and/or (you can have up to two possible chances to win)

2.  Subscribe to the blog (Click subscribe on the top navigation bar and choose how you would like the feed delivered).  I don’t know how to see who is subscribed (is there a way to do that?).  So send an email saying that you subscribed to chocolateandgarlicatgeemail.com.  (Fix the @ and the gmail so that they are normal).

I will randomly choose a winner January 12, 2009.

P.S. I told Pdad that I wanted to have this contest.  He said, “Okay. . . but you know people will think that you are desperate for comments.”  I replied: “Exactly!”

    If I make 2 comments do I get 2 chances to win or do I have to start using a feed reader to get the second chance?

    Sorry love! You get only one chance to win based on your comments no matter how many comments you make. For 2 chances, you would have to subscribe, add me to your feedreader, or link from your own blog.

    P.S., I’m still thinking that you should not be eligible . . .

    Thanks for commenting on my blog…that is how I found yours! I love it. It looks like you are a little more serious about this than I am and could teach me a lot of stuff — although I thought that when you lived here, too…I had so much to learn from you and am disappointed that I didn’t make the time to do it. I think about you often, though, and just a few days ago we were talking about your awsome ice cream making ablitiies! Your family is beautiful! How did your kids get so big? And your most difficult student ever (even with your college experience, I am sure!) is turning 14 in a few weeks! Can you believe it? He is doing great and has settled down :)
    Okay, I’ll officially comment on the feedreader post. I am so excited to check that out! I first heard about it earlier today. It sounds like a great time saver. Oh, does the contest end in 2008 or 2009? If I missed it by a year, I am still glad to have found your blog !!

    I am so glad we found each other’s blogs. I can’t believe you have a 14 year old. He’s so tall!I remember his baptism and your mother’s wonderful talk well. How can it have been six years? The contest ends in a week. I’ll put you down as entry #9. I subscribed to your blog, so I’ll be looking forward to hearing more about your family’s doings.
