		<description>Oh, right you are.  I actually began writing an update to this post which I haven&#039;t yet published that updated the status on all of these plants.  In fact, they almost all lived and most of them thrived.  It was rather amazing--the miracle of life-- I suppose.</description>

		<description>In defense of some of these plants, I want to point out that many of them turned out beautifully.  I don&#039;t know for certain which ones may have been replaced, but I&#039;m fairly certain that the gaura mentioned above as &quot;wilty&quot; wasn&#039;t ever replaced, and it ended up thriving and being just gorgeous.  

The Zauschneria  was beautiful (and attracted an astonishing number of hummingbirds-- I&#039;d never have guessed there were so many in this area!) at the end of the season as well, and I don&#039;t think it was replaced either... I&#039;m not totally certain which others were replaced (or not replaced), but in general the yard was looking fabulous once things warmed up.  :)</description>
